Project Description:

Research revolves around issues of sustainable forest management, with a specialization in silviculture, forest economics, or ecosystem-based forest management

Requirements for this position include an undergraduate degree in forestry or an allied field (such as environmental management with courses taken in forestry and forest ecosystem management). Previous work, research or internship experience in forestry and forest ecology are an asset.

Our professional Master of Forestry is typically completed in 12 to 18 months (24 course + 6 research credits or 18 course + 12 research credits). More details in section 5 here: http://tinyurl.com/rr-gph.

The program is self-funded (costs are described here: http://tinyurl.com/fgsr-costs), but the 2- 6 month research project for this position includes a competitive stipend between $3,000 and $12,000, depending on qualifications.
