PhD Student Position in Synthetic Biology
Start Date: September 2024 or January 2025
Position Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our research team in the metabolic engineering of yeast for the production of value-added bioproducts. To learn more about our recent research in this area, please visit our lab website: https://plb.ualberta.ca.
Candidate Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Hands-on experience in metabolic engineering in yeast (preferred) or other microorganisms
- Solid understanding of metabolic engineering and molecular biology
- Knowledge and experience in fermentation engineering is an asset, but not required
